Mary Broome

Mary Broome is a 1911 satirical four-act play written by Allan Monkhouse, a theater critic for The Manchester Guardian, as well as a playwright. In the story, as an older sibling is preparing for his wedding, it is revealed that the younger son has become involved with the housemaid, Mary Broome, and gotten her pregnant. The two families attempt to deal with the situation and each other's differences. This audio version is performed by a full cast.
