Teardrop Hunting

'Teardrop Hunting' is a fiction podcast that follows James Von Geld, an aspiring painter, who becomes convinced that the only way to create meaningful artwork is to have experienced trauma. Frustrated that his life has been too sheltered, he comes up with the horribly misguided idea for an experimental performance art project in which he interviews famous artists about their pasts, recreates their trauma on himself, then tracks the evolution of his own artwork–he titles the work “Teardrop Hunting.”
