1950, Italy. A hardboiled Los Angeles private detective pulls back the veil of the dark underbelly of the Italian Amalfi coast to investigate the death of a high-profile socialite. However, he doesn't factor on coming face to face with the mafia, a corrupt wing of the Carabinieri, and the vice-like grip of the Cinecitta movie studio, as they converge on a powerful coastal community.
