In the spring of 2002 cellist/composer Erik Friedlander created Broken Shadows Radio Nights. That summer he presented the first production, A Bledbury Tale by Michael Greenberg. Six shows, one every two weeks, told the story of reporter Jep Hurley who dives into uncharted water when he starts writing about crimes that he himself commits, and then finds to his surprise that the woman who spurned him has fallen in love with his invention. A Bledbury Tale was brought to life by 5 actors, 5 musicians, a sound technician, a recording engineer, and a sound effects artists who joined forces on the Lower East Side of New York.
The website contains audio teasers and an interview, but the actual production is not available to listen to.
