In each episode of the podcast, there's a short story about ice cream and a making session where the flavour is recreated and tasted.
The short stories are part of a collection that explores everything about ice cream. The flavours, the history and the memories it creates. Some of them are about the industry, some are about the flavour, some are about how and when we eat it. Nearly all of them are made up.
I wrote them because I love ice cream. At any time of the day or night, no matter what the flavour, I will always be happy to eat one. This means it has woven itself into many moments in my life in a way that no other food has. It has marked the changes, helped cheer me up, been shared at special moments and sometimes been eaten just to pass the time.
The stories are set in many different places and draw on as many ice cream traditions as possible. There are many others that one day I hope to share.
