The Aldergate Papers

Homepage

Description

The Aldergate Papers is an audio drama series about the vice-chancellor of a old, mysterious university who is confronted with the murder of a friend.

Welcome to Aldergate University, a shadowy world of obsessive geniuses, masked strangers, hidden dangers, public nudity, and conspiracies that stretch across the centuries and around the globe.

Aldergate's ancient walls hide many secrets, and Sir Adrian Ward - a fugitive billionaire with a dodgy brain and a troubled past - would like to hide as well. When an old pal's severed legs are found practically on his doorstep, however, it's clear his troubles may just be getting started…

Hallo, strange world.

My name is Adrian Ward, and I am - among other things - the 51st Vice-Chancellor of Aldergate University. For the past few years I've been a total invalid; however, I am enough myself again to feel … a sense of duty. I have a job to do. Unfortunately, I'm not entirely certain what that job is, let alone how to do it. My only hope of working that out requires that I go digging through the wreckage of myself to see if there's anything worth saving.

To aid in that task I have one great asset: my diary, a journal that I kept throughout that last, messy chapter of my former life. I simply can't stand the idea of reading it.

That is where you come in. It seems I've got to do this thing, but I'm not doing it alone, and if there's any truth to the odd fragments of memory that I haven't been able to shake … there are things you deserve to know. Things that may help you to understand what's … coming.

Join me every second Sunday at TheAldergatePapers.com - and whatever I may have buried in these pages, we will uncover it together.
